Each alarm card contains a date and time field into which you set the desired time for the alarm. After you have entered your alarm cards and leave the stack the alarm cards are sorted by alarm time and the alarm time of the first card is used as the next alarm. When the alarm time expires you are shown the card which caused the alarm. After viewing the card you can return back to whatever card you where at before the alarm occurred. If you leave Hypercard the alarm time of the first alarm card is retrieved and set as the alarm time as part of your startup and resume scripts in the home stack. The alarm time expiration routine is also installed into your home card stack script to allow alarm detection from any stack in which you may be working.
